Camera views, active schedules, detection zones, retention periods, user permissions, and exported footage should all match the defined purpose. Access should be limited to people with an operational need.

Review the workflow on a schedule
A responsible deployment should have a review date, an owner, and a small set of performance questions. Confirm that the purpose still exists, access remains appropriate, retention is being followed, and alerts are producing useful outcomes.
